Age 91. Passed away December 29, 1992, at her residence. She was born September 23, 1901, in New Munster, Wis., to Theodore and Elizabeth Richter. Her early life was spent in New Munster. She went to St. Alphonsus School. On July 8, 1926, at St. Charles Church, she married Jake Robers, who preceded her in death on December 3, 1961. She moved from Lyons to Burlington in 1962. She was a homemaker and member of St. Charles Church, St. Anne's Society, and Burlington Senior Citizens. Surviving are a son, Melvin "Cal" (Carol) Robers of Burlington; a daughter, Virginia (Charles) Straus of Elkhorn; a daughter-in-law, Jane Robers of Burlington; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, Elmer Richter of Burlington; and a sister, Celeste Fonk of Kenosha. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Wally in 1971; daughter Annette Schiller in 1985; brothers Frank and William Richter; sisters Laura Daniels, Florence Robers, Irene Kelly, and Leone Epping. Funeral services will be held at St. Charles Church at 7:30 p.m. Friday with Revs. Michael Benham, Joseph Hanauska, and Tom Fait officiating. Burial will be at St. Charles Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3 until 6:45 p.m. at McCarthy-Koenig Funeral Home. Memorials to St. Charles Church or Mt. Carmel Activity Dept. have been suggested.
