Memorial service for Thomas Lee "Tom" Madison, of Henderson, Nev., and formerly of Carlsbad will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Central Christian Church, 305 N. Oak, Carlsbad, N.M.. with the Rev. Andy Harris officiating. West Funeral Home handling arrangements.
Thomas Lee "Tom" Madison was born to Howard and Mary Lou Madison, June 30, 1952, in Sioux City, Iowa. While in Carlsbad he worked for Enron for a number of years, earned his B.A. in business management from College of the Southwest and worked as facilities director for NMSU-C and Carlsbad Environmental Monitoring and Research Center before continuing on to Serve in the facilities director at a number of universities throughout United States, including his personal favorite, Texas A&M.
Tom was an avid caver, camper and sportsman who loved the outdoors. He never met a stranger and left this world having touched many lives. He will be missed by all, including his three beloved dogs, Elsie, Tank and Blue.
Tom was preceded in death by both parents and his wife, Carla Saska Madison.
He is survived by his daughter and husband Deidra and Cliff Mitchell; stepdaughter Brandi Middaugh; grandson Zackary Mitchell; and stepgranddaughter Payton Hooker, all of Henderson, Nev.; stepmother Evelyn Madison of Lubbock, Texas; and numerous siblings, nieces and nephews.
