Research notes for Howard

I have no idea why the 1900 census has the last name of CAVE listed...but I'm quite confident this is the right family.

Now, what happened btw 1900 and 1942 when he married Mary? Well, I think I know, but I'm not sure. Maybe someone who does know will read this one day and let me know...

Here's what I think I know...
15 Apr 1908 - In Washington, KS, he marries May Phoebe Shanlap.

25 Apr 1910 - 1910 Census Record

23 Jan 1916 - May dies. They had no children. She is buried in Washington, KS under the name May Richards.

16 Oct 1919 - Howard marries Estella (Frank) Watson. Stella had married Ansel Watson in 1901 and was divorced from him.

20 Jan 1920 - 1920 Census Record

LATE 1922 - Estella files for divorce from Howard.

I cannot find anything reliable beyond this until he marries Mary Schemmer in 1942.
