Ben S. Olguin, 99, 30-year resident of San Bernardino, died December 23, in San Bernardino.
He was born May 20, 1883 in New Mexico, retired Deputy Sheriff 30 years in Scorro Co. and Bernallio Co., New Mexico, member of Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral where he served as an usher for 17 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of San Bernardino; three sons, Bernard, Sunnymead, Joe, New Mexico, and Nestor, San Diego; three daughters, Grace Black, New Mexico, Sarah Gabaldon and Viola Rios, both of San Bernardino; two step-daughters, Jane Dikeman of San Bernardino, and Yvonne Engel of Long Beach; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren.
Rosary 7 p.m. Sunday, Mass 9 a.m. Monday, both at Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral, interment Mt. View Cemetery. Bobbitt Memorial Chapel directing.
