Dennis Weis, 27, Burlington, was electrocuted Sunday night. A utility worker, he died while fixing lines in Burlington when he came in contact with a live wire.
Born March 1, 1946 in Paris Township, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Weis. He was educated in St. John School, Paris, Salem Central High School and Kenosha Technical Institute.
On May 3, 1969 he married Mary Richter at St. Joseph Church, Lyons, Wis.
Mr. Weis was an apprentice lineman for the Wisconsin Electric Co.
He served in the Air Force from 1966 to 1970.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Dennis Weis; his parents, Union Grove; four brothers, Richard Weis, Kansasville, and Edward, Paul and Eugene Weis, all of Union Grove; and six sisters, Mrs. Peter (Joanne) Arens, Jr., Maywood, Ill., Mrs. Larry (Nancy) Wilson, Burlington, Mrs. Mike (Patricia) Zarletti, Kenosha; and the Misses Connie, Debra, and Charlene Weis, all of Union Grove.
WEIS-Funeral services for the late Dennis Weis, of Rt. 1 Burlington, will be held Wed. June 20th at 10 A.M. from St. Mary's Church, in Burlington. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Schuette-Werth & Daniels Funeral Home, 157 S. Pine St. Burlington. Parish vigil services Tues. at 8:15 P.M.
