Leon F. Busch, age 85, of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Burr Oak Manor, Genoa City, Wisconsin.
He was born in Burlington, Wisconsin, on November 23, 1929, a son of the late Bernard and Frances (Robers) Busch.
He was a graduate of Richmond High School and scored the first touchdown in school history. Leon was married to Patricia Stilling on May 30, 1956, at St. Joseph Church in Richmond. He worked as a carpenter for Tonyan Construction and Charles Heelein Co. for over 45 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Richmond. He loved bird watching, fishing, hunting, lawn care and outdoor activities. He also enjoyed Native American history.
Leon is survived by his wife, Patricia of 59 years; four daughters, Susan (Kenneth) Fanter, of Crystal Lake, IL; Valerie Busch-Zurlant, of Chicago, IL; Marie (Daniel) Sutton, of Spring Grove, IL; Charlene (John) Bedrosian, of Glen Ellyn, IL; three sons, Joseph (Caroline) Busch, of Spring Grove, IL; Nicholas (Lisa) Busch, of Phillips, WI; Jerome Busch, of Woodstock, IL; three sisters, Evelyn Elfmann, of Richmond, IL; Patricia Miller, of Spring Grove, IL and Jeanette Vierke, of McHenry, IL.
He was preceded by a sister, Delores Walker; and three brothers, James, Theodore and John J. Busch.
Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home 10011 Main St., Richmond, IL. Mass of Resurrection will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 10519 Main St., Richmond, IL, with Msgr. Martin Heinz officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Richmond.
