Wallace Rossmiller, age 92 of Berwyn Heights, MD, passed away September 29, 2018. He was a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to the DC area where he worked for the federal government as a computer analyst. His family always remarked that he never truly retired, as he devoted his time to volunteering for the Boy Scouts of America, the Lutheran Church of the Reformation, he was on the Board of Directors for the National Lutheran Home as well as a member of the Auxiliary, his community's Recreation Council, and countless number of other organizations over the years.
He was an avid sports fan, he grew up rooting for the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers, then became a Redskins and Nationals fan when he moved to the DC area. He peacefully passed Saturday morning surrounded by family, listening to the latest baseball standings.
Wallace was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Carolyn Rossmiller. He is survived by his son Richard Rossmiller, his daughter Ruth Ann Cornelsen, his grand-daughters Suzanne Pecoraro and Kristen Cornelsen, his brother Ronald Rossmiller, his sister Judith Getzin, as well as numerous generations of nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his brother Allen Rossmiller and sister Lois Lemm.
Friends will be received at the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD on Wednesday, October 3 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Reformation, 212 E. Capitol St NE, Washington, DC, Thursday, October 4 at 10 a.m. Interment: Rock Creek Cemetery.
