Jeffrey S. Granger, 27, Route 5, Geneva Township, died Friday morning, Dec. 23, in Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee, of injuries received in a Dec. 17 car accident. Granger was eastbound on Highway 50 coming into Lake Geneva from the west when he lost control of his car at about the Lakeview Drive entrance to the Manor and hit two trees. The car rolled onto its side, pinning him under a door.
Granger was born Nov. 2, 1961, in Evanston, IL, the son of George E. and Rosemary McCourt Granger. He attended the Foeum High School, Palatine, IL, where he was active in track. He moved to the Lake Geneva area following his high school graduation.
He was a tool and die apprentice for Albert Trostel Packings, Ltd., Lake Geneva.
A memorial service was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Burlington, Monday, Dec. 26. Rev. Ross Shecterle officiated. The body was cremated.
Surviving are his parents, in Burlington; grandmother, Laura McCourt, Gleason; a brother, James Michael, Windfield, IL; and a sister, Judy Davidson, Schaumburg, IL. He was preceded in death by a brother, Scott.
