UNION GROVE
William Henry Kerkman, 34, died Wednesday, February 27, 2002, as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born in Racine on December 6, 1967, to Ronald and Sue Ann (nee: Malsch) Kerkman and had been a lifetime resident of Union Grove.
He attended Union Grove area schools and graduated from Union Grove High School. He was a Concrete Worker for Kurk Concrete. William was a member of the Snohawks Snowmobile Club and belonged to the Tuesday night pool league. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, competing in Demo Derbys, camping, and playing pinball.
He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Sue Ann Kerkman of Union Grove; special Friend, Kathy and her sons, David and Adam; grandmother, Mabel of Kenosha; and brothers and sisters, Mary (Steven) Bernstein of Union Grove, Janet (Alistair) Hogg of Cartersville, Ga., Martin Kerkman of Union Grove, Charles (Susan) Kerkman of Caledonia, Paul (Delores) Kerkman of Union Grove, and Ann (Christopher) Hagan of El Paso, Texas. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Vicki Mandi of Union Grove; and aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Neal Kerkman in 1991; a nephew, Chuckie Kerkman in 1993; and grandparents, Coletta and Marcell Kerkman and Leland Malsch.
Funeral services will be held at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Union Grove on Monday, March 4, 2002, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Howard Haase officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Sunday, March 3, 2002, from 3 until 7 p.m. with a Prayer Vigil at 6:45 p.m. all at Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home.
