RACINE
Lorraine C. Gutzman, 86, passed away on Thursday morning, March 16, 2006, in All Saints Health Care - St. Mary's Medical Center after a short illness.
She was born August 30, 1919, in Racine, the daughter of William and Lillian (nee: Hoffman) Gutzman.
Lorraine attended St. John Nepomuk Grade School and was a graduate of Horlick High School, Class of 1937. She worked 40 years to the day for Raymond P. Myer and Company, which later
merged with Meier, Clancy, George, and Company, now McMahon Veltus. A lifelong and devoted member of St. John Nepomuk Church, she was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Apostolate of Suffering. Lorraine was also a member of B.P.W. (Business and Professional Women's Club).
Lorraine was the beloved aunt of Barbara (Jack) Eyman, Robert Gutzman, Patricia (Gene Klimowicz) Bequeaith, Lorraine (fiancé, Todd Braun) Owens, and Rita (Steven) Nelson, all of Racine; 10 great-nieces and great-nephews, Gary (Jeanie) Eyman, Cori (Mikey) Saldana, Heidi (fiancé, Braedon Davis) Gutzman, Katie (David Espinoza) Gutzman, Nicole Owens, Daniel Owens, Courtney Bequeaith, Ryan Bequeaith, Stevie Anne Nelson, and Matthew Nelson, all of Racine; six great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; a special cousin, Jean (Donald) Buchman of Oak Creek; a special neighbor, Joan Peterson; a special friend, Elsie Ancinec; and many other relatives and long-time friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert on June 11, 1984; and infant brother and sister, twins, William and Elaine Gutzman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church on Monday, March 20, 2004, at 11:30 a.m. with Fr. Russel Stommel officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery on Highway 32. Visitation will be in the church on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. John Nepomuk Church in Lorraine's name.
