Marion D. Schilz, 81, Burlington, formerly of New Munster, died (Jan. 10, 1991) at Memorial Hospital, Burlington.

She was born Feb. 2. 1909 in New Munster, a daughter of the late Bernard H. and Dorothy M. (Elbert) Hofner.

She attended St. Alphonsus School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Rossmiller, in 1951, by her husband Marcellus (Mike) Schilz in 1990.

A housewife, she lived in New Munster until moving to Burlington in 1981.

She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and its Christian Mother's Society.

Survivors two daughters, Mrs. (Janice) Sawall, Burlington, Mrs. James (Caryl Ann) Voss, Lake Geneva; a brother, Charles Hofner, Flagstaff, Ariz.; a step-daughter MN. Lloyd (Patricia) Merrill, Watertown; a step-son, Stanley Schilz, Burlington; two grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.

A brother, Robert Hofner, also preceded her in death.

The McCarthy-Koenig Funeral Home, Burlington, is in charge of arrangements.


SCHLIZ-Funeral services for the late Marion D. Schliz of Burlington, formerly of New Munster will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday Jan. 13, 1991 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Massey officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, January 13, 1991 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. the McCarthy-Koenig Funeral Home, 101 E. State St., Burlington, WI.
