Age 77. Passed away Sept. 13, 1970 in the Burlington Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Tenhagen was born in Burlington on May 30, 1893 to Henry and Anna Uhlenhake Richter, was a lifelong resident of the Burlington area and was educated in St. Mary's School. On May 1, 1923, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Burlington, she was married to Joseph Tenhagen, and following their marriage they lived at Route 3, Burlington. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Ladies Guild of the church.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph; one son, Eugene, at home; two brothers, Theodore and Henry Richter; two sisters, Mrs. Ben (Regina) Robers and Mrs. Henry (Tillie) Nienhaus, Bassett, Wis. She was preceded in death by a sister; Mrs. John (Clara) Tenhagen.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Burlington, Msgr. Joseph J. Heim officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the MC CARTHY RUETER FUNERAL HOME 481 Milwaukee Ave., Burlington, Tuesday after 4 p.m. Vigil service will be at 8 oclock Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
