W. A. Holtz Dies At Great Lakes
Word was received Tuesday of the death of William August (Dick) Holtz, former resident of this city. He died Monday evening at a hospital at Great Lakes Naval Training Station.
Holtz lived in Burlington for many years following long term service in the Navy. During World War II he was recalled to active duty with the Navy and served as an instructor at Great Lakes. Following the war he retired from the Navy but continued, in a civilian capacity, as an instructor at Great Lakes.
Funeral arrangements have not been made as yet but the body will be brought to Burlington for burial.
