Leon G. Hoelz, a resident of Woodstock Kenosha Health Center, died there early this morning (Dec. 14, 1983).
The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John (Dora) Hoelz, he was born April 11, 1894 in Burlington.
He attended schools in Burlington and resided in Kenosha for 37 years.
An Army Air Force veteran of World War I, he entered service on April 6, 1917 and was discharged Feb. 20, 1919, with overseas duty in France. He also served in the Merchant Marines from 1940 to 1950.
He formerly was employed as an automobile salesman in Chicago.
He was a member of American Legion Paul Herrick Post No. 21, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Junker-Ball Post 1865.
Surviving are two sisters, Marion Bechtel and Dorothy Lewis, both of Venice, Fla.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
HOELZ—Private funeral services will be held for the late Mr. Leon G. Hoelz, of 3415 Sheridan Rd., who passed away on Dec. 13th. Piasecki Funeral Home is serving the family.
