Robert L. Southey Dies at Age of 61
Robert L. Southey, 61, of 660 Highland avenue, Burlington, died Wednesday after a long illness. Mr. Southey was state oil inspector for 30 years and was associated in the real estate and insurance business in Burlington.
Mr. Southey was born in New York city, March 14, 1883. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Southey. He lived at Lake Geneva in his youth and attended the public schools there. He also attended Beloit college.
Surviving are his wife, Emily; two sons. Robert J. and Francis, both in the army, and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a. m., Saturday in St. Mary's church with Msgr. Edward Kersting officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside cemetery, Genoa city. Friends may call at the Schuette funeral home until 8:30 a. m. Saturday.
