Private services will take place tomorrow for Raymond C. Lewis, 75, or Alexandria, Va., a former Bridgeport resident who died Saturday in the West Haven Veterans' hospital, where he had been a patient four years.
They will be conducted at 2 p.m. in the Torello funeral home, Dixwell avenue, New Haven. Burial will be in Hamden cemetery.
Born in Leeds, Mass, Mr. Lewis lived in Bridgeport about 30 years, moving to Alexandria eight years ago. He was a captain of artillery, U. S. Army, in World War I, serving in the Meuse-Argonne campaigns.
He was a former member of the Algonquin and Brooklawn Country clubs and of the Scottish Rite bodies, AF and AM, and Hamilton commandery. He was also a member of the Royal Court of Jesters.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Lewis, of Fairfield.
