Research notes for Elizabeth

There are lots of articles about the murder victim found in Wisconsin and whether or not it was Elizabeth. I have not found any follow-ups to them. It seems to me that even with a runaway situation that reconciliation will eventually come around. That doesn't seem to be the case and I get the feeling that Elizabeth was not heard from again. It certainly lends credibility to the common thought that the murdered woman was Elizabeth. Many public trees list Elizabeth's DOD as Oct 1931.

One thing that struck me was the appearance of the appendectomy scar. This is what led Frank to deny the woman was Elizabeth. That also seems VERY compelling as an appendectomy is not really something that a family member gets without the knowledge of most - if not all - family members.
