Mrs. Katherine E. Sobbe, 87, 300 Origen St., Burlington, died Wednesday at Burlington Memorial Hospital.

She was born in the Town of Wheatland on May 28, 1888, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Busch. She spent her early life in New Munster and attended school there.

She married Alfred Sobbe at St. Alphonsus church, New Munster, on Jan. 19, 1909. After their marriage they resided at Rt. 3, Burlington until moving to Burlington in 1926.

Mr. Sobbe died July 7, 1969.

Mrs. Sobbe was a member of St. Mary Catholic church, Burlington and the Christian Mothers society.

Survivors are two sons, Eugene, Wilmot; and Robert, Burlington; two daughters, Mrs. George (Lucille) Crowley and Mrs. Rosella Schneider, both of Burlington; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Ketterhagen, Chippewa Falls, Wis.; and Mrs. Charles (Laura) McCourt, Burlington.

Mrs. Sobbe was preceded in death by seven brothers and a sister.
