About Amelia's Headstone...
A call to the cemetery confirmed that Amelia Mevissen who died 1 Feb 1934 is buried next to John Mevissen. John is obviously NOT the husband. Here's what I think happened...
Amelia died very young. A spot was purchased and I'm guessing Louis had every intention of being buried there with his wife. Louis got remarried and ended up being buried with his 2nd wife. It happens. I hold no judgement for that. However, there is an empty spot available next to Amelia. John is (again, I believe) Louis' cousin. I believe John is the son of Louis (a different Louis, also buried in St. Andrew's). Louis is the son of Paul. Paul is also the father of Christian and Christian is the father of Louis (Amelia's husband). That makes John and Louis cousins.
