John Nicholas Kramer, 83, Rt 1, New Weston, died at his residence at 6 a.m. Monday. He was born June 7, 1897 in Loretto, Tenn., the son of William and Mary (Pagel).
On Oct. 7, 1919, he married Helen Fink in Burkettsville, and she survives with the following sons and daughters: Nicholas, Lockney, Tex; Henry, Union City, Ind, Luke, Nashua, NH, Mark, New Weston, Joe, Cloverdale, Mrs. Ralph Schmitz, New Weston, Mrs. Cletus Schmitz, New Weston, Mrs. Edgar Schmitz, New Weston, Mrs. Ann Jutte, Middletown, Mrs. John Hinkle, Middletown, Mrs. Ralph Koesters, Celina; and Mrs. David Brown, Wapakoneta.
Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Fr. Herbert Kramer, Lima; Jake Kramer, Coldwater; Joe Kramer, Erie, Pa.; Carl Kramer, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Mrs. Margaret Knapke, St. Henry; Catherine Kramer, Cleveland; Mrs. Gertrude Wilker, Celina; Mrs. Anne Klosterman, Edgerton; 76 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Three children and five brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
A retired farmer, Mr. Kramer was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Sharpsburg, and the St. Joseph's Sodality.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday and until time of the services Thursday at Brockman's Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
