Margaret K. Knapke, 91, 4292 Fort Recovery-Minster Rd., St. Henry, died at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday at Community Hospital, Coldwater, of heart failure.
She was born in Loretto, Tenn., May 23, 1899, to William and Mary (Pagel) Kramer, and she was married in St. Henry, November 9, 1927, to Edwin J. Knapke, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Alfred, St. Henry; two daughters, Mrs. Dick (Mary Ann) Washburn, Springfield, and Mrs. Tim (Nellie) Barnes, Chicago; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grand children; two sisters, Ann Klosterman, Edgerton, and Kathryn Kramer, Wickliffe. She was preceded in death by a son, Eugene, and five brothers and three sisters.
A homemaker, Mrs. Knapke was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Sodality of the church. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Joseph Pax officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. Henry Cemetery. Friends may call 2-9 p.m. Thursday and before services Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
