Gertrude K. Wilker, 82, died at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday April 17 at her residence.
Mrs. Wilker was born July 4, 1901, in Loretta, Tenn., the daughter of William and Mary (Pagel) Kramer. On July 22, 1925, she was married to Julius J. Wilker, who died April 23, 1964.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Carolyn) Mangen, Versailles, eight sons, Martin Wilker, Celina, Jerome, New Bremen; Lester, St. Joseph, Mich., Wilfred, New Bremen, Bernard and Charles, St Marys, Gerald, Versailles; and Paul, New Haven, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Edwin (Margaret) Knapke, St Henry, Ann Klosterman, Edgerton; and Kathryn Kramer, Cleveland; three brothers, Jake Kramer, Coldwater; Rev. Herbert Kramer, C.PP.S., Ottoville, and Joseph, Erie, Pa.; 50 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
The following sisters and brothers preceded her in death: Elizabeth, Philomena, Margaret, John, Frank, Carl and Henry Kramer.
A homemaker, Mrs. Wilker was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, the Altar Rosary Sodality, the Legion of Mary, the Retreat League, and the Adoration Guild of the Maria Stein Complex.
A concelebrated mass of Christian burial was held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Church, the Rev. Herbert Kramer officiating. Burial look place in Gethsemane Cemetery, St Marys.
Yoder-Long and Folk Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be given to the Holy Rosary Church building fund.
