Nicholas J. Fettes Jr., Age 83, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints in Racine. He was born March 22, 1931 to Nick and Marie (nee Henningfield) Fettes in Kansasville. His early life was spent in Racine and Kansasville. On May 12, 1951 Nick was united in marriage to Rose Katterhagen at St. Mary’s Church in Dover. Following their marriage they resided in the Union Grove and Kansasville area where they raised their family. He was previously employed at Pure Milk Association and also Deans Foods. Nick was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served on the Kansasville Fire Department. In his earlier years he coached Little League and St. Mary’s Dover basketball teams. Nick is survived by his wife Rose, children: Michael (Lynn) Fettes, Diane (Nick) Baumeister, Richard (Patricia) Fettes, Margaret (Robert) Schmid and Robert (Shannan) Fettes, 13 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 12 step-great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his siblings: Helen Reesman, Mary Anne Hoffmann, Judy (Tom) Adam, Sally Larson, Sue (Robert) Reuss, David (Rita) Fettes and Donald (Tammy) Fettes, sister-in-law Carol Fettes, brother-in-law Bill Jacob. He was preceded in death by his father and most recently by his 100 year old mother, siblings: Robert Fettes, Marlene Jacob and Jerry Fettes and brothers- in- law Bill Larson, Don Reesman and Bill Hoffmann. Memorials for Nick may be made to St. Mary’s Dover Catholic Church. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and staff at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints for their care and compassion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 6:30 PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dover, with Rev. Robert Kacalo officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, December 2 from 4:00 PM until 6:30 PM at CHURCH. Burial will take place on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 11:30 AM at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dover.
