Services for Mrs. B. Richter

Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning, Oct 13. from St. Mary's church at 9:30 for Mrs. B. Richter nee Elizabeth Gacke, who passed away on Sunday evening, Oct. 10. Death was due to a heart attack, which she first suffered three years ago. Mrs. Richter, daughter or Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gacke, was born on July 1, 1863, at Burlington, Wis., and passed away Oct. 10, 1943. having attained the age of 80 years, two months and 10 days. when 18 years of age, she, with her parents, moved to Rock Valley. In 1901 she, with her husband and family, moved on a farm north of Ashton. In 1914 they retired from farm life and moved to Ashton. This union was blessed with six children. Her husband and three children, Ida, Ella and Bernard, preceded her in death Those left to mourn her loss, are three sons, Albert of Kranzburg. S. D., Lou of Ashton and Frank of Sanborn, 29 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one brother, Wm. Gacke of Minneapolis, besides a host of relatives and friends. Interment was made in the catholic cemetery.
