RICHTER--HAAS
Miss Laura Mary Richter and Frederick Nicholas Haas were united in marriage in St. Mary's church in this city at ten o'clock Tuesday morning. Rev. Father O'Reilly performed the ceremony in the presence of about 150 invited relatives and friends of the contracting parties. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Clara Richter as bridesmaid, and the groom by his brother, John Haas as best man.
After the wedding ceremony the bridal party accompanied by over a hundred relatives and friends drove to the bride's home northwest of Rock Valley where a sumptuous wedding dinner was served and a reception held in honor of the event between the hours of eleven a.m. and three p.m. They were made recipients of many beautiful presents. The bride and groom left the same day on their wedding trip.
The bride is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Richter. She is an accomplished young lady of many good qualities. She has lived in this vicinity all her life, her parents being among the earliest settlers here. She is well known and her winning ways have made her many friends. He is an enterprising young business man of this city, having been engaged in the garage business here for the past year or more. He is well known in this vicinity and is very popular with a large number of friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Haas will make their home in Rock Valley.
