A Rosary and Memorial Mass will be held Friday, May 2, at St. Francis Xavier Church, Hawkeye, for Donald Scholbrock. The rosary will be at 7 p.m. followed by mass at 7:30 p.m.

Donald died Monday, April 14, 1997 at Brooks Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston San Antonio, Texas.

Donald Lee Scholbrock was born Jan. 21, 1950 to Donna and Herbert Scholbrock in Sumner. He was raised on a farm near Hawkeye. Donald went to Holy Name Catholic School and later graduated from North Fayette High School in 1968.

Don joined the US Army and served with the Army for 22 years. He worked as a truck driver for the last two years.

Don is survived by his wife, Tina; parents, Donna and Herbert; a sister, Barbara; brothers, Dennis, Kenny, Steve, Randy and Chuck; his sons, Tracy Wilson and Jeremy Scholbrock; step-sons, David, Nathan, and Daryl Gutierrez; and numerous grandchildren.
