LAWLER
Harlan Wayne Throndson, 72, of rural Lawler died Thursday, Aug. 11, at his home.
He was born Feb. 19, 1933, north of Lawler, son of Thrond Anthony and Bertha Ehert Throndson. He married Lou Ann Baumler on May 14, 1956, at St. Lukes Catholic Church, St. Lucas.
Mr. Throndson server in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged as a private first class. He farmed north of Lawler, sold McNess Feed and Thorobred Seed for many years, was a representative for Clay Equipment, sold Madison Silos and also worked 12 years at the Lawler Lumber Co. He also did custom farm work for more than 40 years in the area.
Survived by: his wife; three sons, Rick (Donna) of New Hampton, and Wayne (Cindy) and Dale (Renee) both of Little Turkey; a daughter, Denise (Leon) Elsbernd of Calmar; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence (Rita) and Irv (Florence), both of New Hampton; and three sisters, Bernice Cutsforth, Ardis King and Helen (Jack) Whalen, all of Lawler.
Preceded in death by: a brother, Robert; and a sister, Caroline in infancy.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Assumption Parish, Little Turkey, with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery-Reilly Ridge, rural Lawler. Military rites will be conducted by the Harold Redman American Legion Post of Lawler. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home, Lawler, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 6 p.m. Scripture service, and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
