Rock Valley Couple Wed
A marriage of interest occurred last Wednesday when Miss Margaret Keegan became the bride of Joe Haas at St. Mary's church. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Heffernan, the latter a sister of the bride. Miss Keegan has been teaching in rural schools and Mr. Haas is a farmer living northwest of Rock Valley. Rev. A.J. Forester performed the ceremony.

Last rites held for J. Haas Friday, Nov. 20
Funeral services for Joseph P. Haas, 70, who died at his farm home near here Wednesday morning, Nov. 18 after a brief illness, were held Friday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic church.
The Rev Richard W Reinhart officiated.
Burial was in the church cemetery with Martin Cullinan, Claire Barry, Francis McNamara, Michael Cullinan, Paul Barry and Raymond Jungerson serving as pallbearers.
Rosary was at 8 p.m. Thursday in the Porter Funeral home.
Mr Haas was born Jan 30, 1894 at Marcus and had resided on the same farm here for 57 years. He married Margaret Keegan May 1, 1940 at Rock Valley.
He is survived by the widow; two sons, James of Biloxi, Miss. and Jerry at home, three brothers, Jerome of Inwood, John of Iowa Falls and Fred of Omaha and a sister, Mrs Vincent Smith of Alvord.
His parents and a sister Margaret preceded him in death.
