Cathrine M. Noble, 93, passed away at Mount Carmel Medical and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, January 4, 2001.
She was born in Racine County on May 28, 1907, to Walter and Margaret (nee: McCourt) Bird. She spent her early life in Rochester and had been a lifetime resident of Burlington. On October 23, 1926, in Rochester, she was united in marriage to Edward A. Noble.
She received her education at Pleasant Prairie Grade School and graduated from Burlington High School. She was a Homemaker and a member of English Settlement Church and the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed baking, sewing, and cooking.
Surviving are sons, Al (Rose) Noble and Wally (Liz) Noble, both of Burlington; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Clarence Bird or Kansasville; and sister-in-law, Margaret Noble. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Donald in 1956; brother, James; five sisters-in-law; and six brothers-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home on Saturday, January 6, 2001, at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Jo Bierer officiating. Interment will be in English Settlement Cemetery on Monday, January 8, 2001, at 10 a.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 4 until 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to English Settlement Cross Fund have been suggested.
