Age 63. Passed away Monday, October 25, 1976 at Burlington Memorial Hospital, Mrs. Bird was born on March 18, 1913 in Burlington to August and Emma (Schaal) Rubach. She was a lifetime resident of the Burlington and Rt. 1, Kansasville area. On June 3, 1930 at her home, she was united in marriage to Clarance B. Bird. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Burlington. Surviving are her husband, Clarance; four daughters and five sons, John and Judity Schwartz, Robert and Virginia Wollmer, Curtiss and Sandra Gonsky, Mark and Carol Steilein, David Bird, Thomas Bird, Jonathan Bird, Phillip Bird and Timothy Bird; 22 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Forrest Palmer, Miss Florence Rubach and Mrs. John Bieneman; two brothers Herbert Rubach and Elmer Rubach. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 29, at 1 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Burlington with the Rev. Richard Weeks officiating. Interment will be at the United Presbyterian Cemetery in Dover. Friends may call at the SCHUETTE-DANIELS FUNERAL HOME, 157 S. Pine St. Burlington, after 4 p.m. Thursday, October 28, and from 12:30 p.m. until time of services at the Church on Friday.
