Howard Engstrom, 81, of the Clinton County Care Facility, Charlotte, died there Wednesday.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Irenaeus Church with Rev. James Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Pape Funeral Home with a Christian wake service at 7:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be David Breen, Thomas E. Hansen, John Hansen, Robert Lowther, Virgil Buntemeyer and Clarence "Pete" Smith.
Mr. Engstrom was born April 29, 1896, in DePue, Ill., the son of Andrew and Emma Mecum Engstrom. He married Theresa Breen, June 19, 1934, in Clinton. She died in 1969. He was a member of St. Irenaeus Church, and a retired welder.
Survivors include a daughter, Joan Engstrom of Clinton.
