John B. Hogan, 614 East Thirteenth street, Davenport, died at 1 o'clock this morning at his home following an illness of five months' duration. He was born on July 25, 1869, on a farm near DeWitt, Ia., and lived there until nine years ago when he moved to Davenport. He was married on April 27, 1898, to Miss Hester Keegan, at St. Joseph's church, DeWitt, the Rev. P. Maher officiating. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name society of Sacred Heart cathedral.
Surviving are his widow; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Martin of Grand Mound. Ia., Mrs. James Byrnes and Mrs. John Gribbon of Portland, Ore.; and one brother, Nicholas Hogan of St. Louis.
The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 8:30 o'clock from the home, with services at 9 o'clock at Sacred Heart cathedral. Interment will be in the cemetery at DeWitt. Members of Loras council, Knights of Columbus, are asked to meet at the home tomorrow evening at 8 o'clock for prayer services.
