OLD TOWN
George J. Geeenan Jr., 70, of 345 S. Brunswick St., died at his residence Jan. 11, 1980. He was born March 20, 1909, in Old Town, son of George J. and Catherine (Theriault) Greenan Sr. He was educated in the Old Town schools and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. He had worked for Brewer Manufacturing Co., White Canoe Co. and at the University of Maine at Orono. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church; 77th Army Division Association; 4th Degree Knights of Columbus; Old Town Senior Citizens Club. He is survived by his wife, Selema "Sally" (Shorette) Greenan of Old Town; one brother, Alfred of Glendale, Ariz.; two aunts, Agnes Ouellette of Old Town, Lucille Boyington of Jose, Calif.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Old Town, 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. John Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Old Town. Friends and relatives may make memorial donations to the St. Mary's Church Improvement Fund, Old Town, Maine. Baillogeron Funeral Home, Old Town, in charge of funeral arrangements.
