Selema "Sally" Greenan, 87, wife of the late George "Bill" Greenan, died Jan. 12, 1998, at an Orono health-care facility. She was born in Old Town, Jan. 1, 1911, the daughter of Felix and Sadie (Bosse) Shorette. She was employed at the University of Maine, Orono, for several years, and was a member of Holy Family Parish, Old Town. Sally was also a member of the Old Town Senior Citizens, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and a 50-year member of the Daughters of Isabella. She is survived by two sisters, Yvonne Currier of Old Town, Cecile Justine of Pittsfield; special nieces and nephews, Robert and Joan Nicholson, Eldon and Jean Campbell; many other nieces and nephews. She will be especially missed by her dear friend, Agnes Bishop. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, O'Neil, Levi, and Walter Shorette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Parish, Old Town. Spring interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. At her request, there will be no public visiting hours. Donations in her memory may be made to the Holy Family Parish Building Fund, 262 South Main St., Old Town 04468.
