KEEGAN-BUCKLEY
A wedding of much interest occurred August 2nd at the St. Mary's church when Miss Irma Keegan became the bride of Mr. Fred Buckley, of Maurice, Iowa.
Rev. Father O'Reilly performed the ceremony on the presence of immediate relatives and friends.
The bride wore a yellow georgette dress with hat to match and carried a bouquet of Sweetheart Roses.
Miss Kathryn Keegan, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid and was dressed in a dress of beige and rose of Sharon hat and accessories to match.
The groom was attended by his brother, Bernard Buckley.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Keegan and is one of Sioux County's successful teachers, taught at Maurice, Iowa, the past two years where she met the young man of her choice.
The bridegroom who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D.I. Buckley, is an industrious farmer of Maurice, Iowa.
Following the ceremony a three-course breakfast was served to the wedding party at the home of the bride's parents.
The newly married couple left for a motor trip through the Black Hills and Yellowstone Park. After September 15th they will be at home to their many friends on a farm near Maurice, Iowa.

Services held for Fred Buckley
Daniel F. ("Fred") Buckley, 71, well known resident of rural Maurice, died Saturday at a LeMars, Ia., hospital after a six month illness.
Funeral services were at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic church in Maurice. Rev. Peter Schumacher officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Buckley was a veteran of world war 1 and saw extensive duty in France as an infantry sergeant.
Graveside military rites were performed by members of Wasmer post, American Legion, of Le Mars.
Mr. Buckley was born May 15, 1892, near Maurice, and married Irma Keegan on August 2, 1927, at Rock Valley, Ia.
Survivors Include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Jean Dunbar and Miss Colleen Buckley, both of Omaha, and Miss Sheila Buckley of Sioux City; three sons, Charles of Maurice, Dennis of Omaha, and Daniel of Le Mars; three brothers, Edward of Maurice, Ben of LeMars and Dr. Bernard of San Jose, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Genevieve Reynolds of Detroit and 11 grandchildren.
