Helene M. Burke, 88, Marion, died 8:46 a.m. Thursday, July 28, in Marion General Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Burke was born in Tulsa, OK and formerly lived in Fairmount. She graduated from Konana High School, Norman, OK.

A retired elementary school teacher, she taught in Indiana and Oklahoma.

She lived in Twin City Nursing Home for 16 years moved to Colonial Oaks three months ago.

Survivors include several cousins.

Graveside services were held Saturday, July 30, in Park cemetery with Ester Hoffman officiating.

Hunt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
