Funeral services were held this morning at St. Mary's Church. Burlington, for Mrs. Elizabeth Gill McCarthy, 80, who died Sept. 3 in a Burlington nursing home. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. McCarthy, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schemmer, was born in Burlington on June 8, 1877. She was married in 1900 to the late William Gill. In 1935, she was married to the late John L. McCarthy. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Daughters of Isabella.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Frank Mueller and Sister Mary Theoderine, Milwaukee, and Sister Mary Rainerie, Mt. Calvary; several nieces and nephews.
