Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Meyer, 84, who died Friday morning at the Burnight home, were held Monday at the Barnard Funeral home with interment in the Christ Lutheran cemetery at Alvord, Iowa.

Mrs. Meyer, daughter of Mary and John Boggess, was born May 31, 1875. She was a native of Iowa and spent most of her life in and around Alvord.

She married Frank Schemmer and two sons were born to them, one of whom died in infancy and Vincent Francis. All preceded her in death.

She later married Henry Meyer of Alvord, who also preceded her in death. After his death, she resided for a time in Chicago, and five years ago came to Hawarden.

She was a member of the Congregational church and the Federated Woman's club in Alvord.

Survivors include a grandson, Peter Alan Schemmer of Hawarden; a great granddaughter, Patricia Ann, and several nieces.
