Age 74. Passed away Sunday, January 15, 1984 at Memorial Hospital, Burlington. She was born on September 30, 1909, in Burlington, to Henry and Katherine (Richter) Rossmiller. She educated at St. Mary's Grade School, BHS, and a 1932 graduate of Columbia School of Nursing. She was married on September 30, 1948 in Burlington to Russell F. Cooney who preceded her in death on August 10, 1956. She was a longtime Registered Nurse at Memorial Hospital where she served as Administrator during WWII and later as Assistant Director of Nurses retiring in 1973. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are one brother and three sisters-in-law, Herbert and Gerry Rossmiller, Elida Rossmiller, Theresa Rossmiller, all of Burlington; three nieces, Kay (Richard) Bentley of Madison, Carol (Steve) Von Alven of Lyons, WI, Mary Rossmiller of Madison; one nephew, Thomas Rossmiller of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, three brothers, Charles, Everett and Loyal.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Burlington, with Rev. Pat Umberger officiating. Interment will be at St. Charles Cemetery. Friends may call this (MONDAY) evening from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the McCARTHY-KOENIG FUNERAL HOME, 101 E. State St., Burlington, with the Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m.
