Funeral services for Dr. Anthony L. Schemmer of Colby, who died Thursday at that village, will be conducted at Holy Rosary church in New Holstein at 10 a. m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the family lot at St. Mary's cemetery at Chilton.

Dr. Schemmer, 61, served as a physician and surgeon at Colby for 38 years. He died Thursday of a heart attack.

He was a member of the American Medical society, the American Academy of General Practitioners, the Wisconsin Gynecology and Obstetrical society, and the Clark County Medical society. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Dr. Schemmer is survived by his widow; a son, John K. of New York city; a brother, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. George Schemmer of New Holstein; two sisters, the Misses Mary and Josephine Schemmer of New Holstein; and one grandchild.

The body will lie in state at the rectory in New Holstein beginning Monday afternoon. Friends may call after 4 p.m. The rosary will be recited at Holy Rosary church at 8 p. m. Monday.
