Margaret Ellen "Nelle" Vos, widow of Herbert J. Vos, died Wednesday after a lingering illness.

Born Oct. 9, 1890, in Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Vos was a saleslady for the Craemer store for many years before her retirement.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Howard Cambridge, 1130 Dover st. NE; a son, William H. Vos, Groton, Conn.; 8 grandchildren, and a brother, Charles McCarthy, Burlington, Wis. Her husband preceded her in death in February, 1937.

The body is at the Monahan-Stewart funeral home where friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday.

Services: Rt. Rev. Msgr. James D, Kearn will recite the Rosary Thursday, 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will be taken to the McCarthy Funeral home, Burlington, and services will be conducted Saturday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's church with burial in St. Mary's cemetery.
