Age 95 of Antioch, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2005 at her home. She was born in Lake Geneva, Wis., the daughter of the late Oscar and Grace (Underhill) Johnson, and had lived in Cedar Lake, Ind. before settling in Antioch in 1938. She was a member of the Antioch Women's Club, had volunteered for many years at the Antioch Thrift Shop. On Sept. 17, 1929 she married Roman Vos and he preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 1974.
Survivors include six children: William (Margaret) Vos, Ron (Marie) Vos both of Antioch, Mary (Marshall) Plechaty of Phillips, Wis., Phil (Priscilla) Vos of Antioch, Roman (Frances) Vos of Stem, NC, and Sarah (Richard) Schlarbaum of Taos NM; 23 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. April 14, 2005 at The Strang Funeral Home of Antioch, 1055 Main St. (Rte 83). Interment was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Antioch. Visitation was from 9 a.m., April 14, until the time of services. Those desiring may make donations to the Antioch Rescue Squad in her memory.
