Marriage Record
Marriage Record...again?

I was hoping the 2nd marriage record would finally shed some light on the actual baptism record (see 2 poss. below). And it did... sort of. But not with the dates/age. 27y 10m 16d before the marriage on 28 Oct 1851 = 12 Dec 1823... a month off. But here's the thing. Let's say they made a mistake and it was supposed to be 11m. That puts DOB at 12 Nov 1823. Now, I've seen examples of these types of records calculating to age to start NOT at the day of birth, but rather the day of BAPTISM. Sure enough, the husband, Bernard, is listed as 27y 7m 12d. That rolls back to 16 Mar 1824 -- the day he was BAPTIZED. He was born 01 Mar.

So, while I'm hoping to narrow down which of the two baptism record are right, I've still got doubts. The NAMES for Maria Frances are SPOT ON. But the DATES for Maria Elis. are much closer... OR there's just so many Holz floating around Olfen, that even they got them confused.

Searching for an obituary in the Register's issues following the death of Frances, I was only able to come across these...I believe it to be a misspelled and slightly incorrectly dated obituary...
