Age 93 of Antioch, passed away Thursday, April 8, 1999 at Victory Lakes Continuing Center, Lindenhurst. She was born, March 15, 1906 in Kansasville, Wis., the daughter of the late Albert and Edith (Hawkins) Murdoch. She moved to Antioch in 1926 and to California in 1979 and then back to Antioch in 1993, Mrs. Simon was a member of St. Peter Church and the AARP and had worked at the former Gaston Printers in Antioch. On Oct. 26, 1926, she married Cletus Vos in Dover, Wis. and he preceded her in death on Feb, 27, 1993.
Survivors include two sons, Jack (Corinne) Vos of Blue Eye, Mo. and David (June) Vos of Wilmot, Wis.; three daughters, Jean Irving or Antioch, Ann (Jim) Krieger of Laporte, Minn. and Sue Ellen (Andrew) Johnson of Antioch, a stepson, Robert (Norma) Simon of Sun Valley, Calif.; a sister, Elva Schultz of Union Grove, Wis.; 21 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands she is preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Topper and infant son, Robert Vos, also two brothers, Leslie and Harold Murdoch.
Funeral Services with Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Peter Church, Antioch.
Friends and family visited at the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch.
Interment was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Antioch.
