Mrs. Willard (Alvina) Peterson, 68-year-old Lake Wissota resident, died Saturday evening from injuries received in an auto accident.
She was born Alvina Ketterhagen on July 15, 1908 at Burlington, Wis., daughter of John and
Elizabeth Ketterhagen. She came to the Thorp area as a child with her parents, and then on June 6, 1926 was married to Willard Peterson at Thorp. They farmed in the Town of Sigel until 1960 when they moved to Cadott. They then moved to Merrillan, Wis., where they ran a lumber yard, and in 1967 moved to Lake Wissota where they since resided.
She is survived by her husband Willard; nine sons, Raymond Peterson of Route 2, Fall Creek; Theodore of Salem, Wis., Edward of Route 2, Cadott, Willard Jr. of Foster, Wis., Gerald of Trevor, Wis., Leonard of Wilmont, Wis., James and Roger of rural Cadott, and Lavern of Merrillan; two daughters, Mrs. Lavern (Dorothy) Koch of Wilmont and Mrs. Jack (Roseann) Greene of Cadott; her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Ketterhagen of Thorp; two brothers, Raymond and Hebert Ketterhagen of Stanley; 50 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters and one son.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:30 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Cadott, with Father Jerome Gerum officiating. Interment will be made in the Brooklawn Cemetery, Cadott.
Friends may call at the Leiser Funeral Home, Cadott, from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening.
