Rosemary Granger, 80, formerly of Burlington, passed away at Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn on Friday, June 28, 2002.
She was born in Burlington on August 19, 1921, to Charles and Laura (nee: Busch) McCourt. She spent her early life in Burlington. Following marriage, she resided in Racine, Indiana, Chicago, Ill., and then Burlington. On July 21, 1947, in Madison, Ind., she was united in marriage to George E. Granger, who preceded her in death on June 3, 1996.
She received her education at St. Mary's Grade School and St. Mary's High School in Burlington. She was a Homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Burlington.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy (John) Davidson of Schaumburg, Ill.; son, James (Marlene) Granger of Winfield, Ill., seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Jane) McCourt of Burlington and Art (Sue) McCourt of Oconomowoc; sister, Kathleen (Dick) McCarthy of Gleason; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Scott and Jeff Granger; and one brother, Jack McCourt.
Family and friends may meet at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Burlington Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at 10 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Joseph Debski officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
