Lorraine C. Daniels, 90, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Lorraine was born January 30, 1921, to Theodore and Rose (nee: Richter) in Burlington, where she spent her early life. On June 12, 1943, she was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Robert Daniels at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Burlington. Following their marriage, they resided and raised their family in Brighton on the family farm. Lorraine was a homemaker, 4-H Leader, a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, and also a member of the Christian Mothers and Altar Society of St. Francis Xavier. Lorraine loved spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, enjoyed traveling, and her many trips to Texas for the winters. Lorraine is survived by her faithful and loving husband, Robert of 68 years; and her children, Kenneth (Kathy) Daniels, Diane (Jim) Eckhart, Thomas (Louise) Daniels, Allen (Charlene) Daniels, Joan (Tim) Warren, Jerry (Barb) Daniels, and Dale (Donna) Daniels. She is also survived by her sister, Ann Richter; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Rosemary Daniels, Mary Mich, Barbara Thuemmler, Rose Agnes (Don) Vos, Rita Vos, Richard (Doris) Daniels, and Ramona Ludwig; many nieces and nephews; 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; relatives and friends. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Clarence and Albert; her sisters, Loretta (Fred) Vogt and Sr. Vivian Richter; her sister-in-law, Eleanor Richter; and her brothers-in-law, Art Daniels, Urban Mich, Ted Thuemmler, Art Vos, and Leo Ludwig. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Brighton with Rev. Russel Arnett officiating. Burial will follow Funeral services at the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Brighton. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held Sunday, October 9, 2011, from 4 until 8 p.m. with a Vigil service at 8 p.m. at the Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Family suggests memorials for Lorraine be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
