Edmund "MICK" Robers, 90 of Exeland, Wis. died on Saturday; April 27, 2013 at Our House Memory Hospice in Rice Lake, Wis.
He was born in Burlington, Wis. on Oct. 16, 1922; a son of Ben and Regina Richter Robers. Ed married Mae Kathryn Maurice in Brighton, Wis. in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church on June 10, 1950.
They farmed in Kenosha County until retiring in 1982. They moved to Exeland following their retirement and continued to help with the sons family farm until January of 2013.
Edmund is survived by his wife, Mae; and their four children, Mike and Elaine Robers of Exeland, Patti and Tim Wyss of Clear Lake, Wis., Terri and Jerry Kobriger of Racine, Wis. and John Robers of Clear Lake. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Robers; and one sister, Bernice Elderbrook, both of Burlington; one sister-in-law, Rita Kemen of Bristol, Wis. and three brother-in-laws, Robert and Eugene Maurice, both of Burlington and Raymond Maurice of Raleigh, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Robers; and a sister, Margaret Grulich; brother-in-laws, Carl Grulich, Ed Elderbrook, Allie Kemen, Leonard Placzkowski; sister-in-laws, Ethel Robers, Pat Robers, Hilde Robers, Renata Placzkowski, Sr. Eugena Maurice
Funeral Services for Edmund "MICK" Robers will be held on Saturday; May 4 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Radisson, Wis. with Fr. Patrick Hardy and Deacon James Frederick officiating. Burial will be in Windfall Cemetery in Exeland. The Robers family will receive friends at The Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Bruce after 4 p.m. on Friday where there will be a Scripture Service at 7 p.m.
