Henry J. Nienhaus, 85, of Rt. 5, Burlington, died early Saturday morning at Burlington Memorial Hospital.
He was born on April 15, 1895, in New Munster, Wis., the son of Gerhard and Adelaide Rensing Nienhaus.
He married Tillie Richter on Nov. 9, 1921 at Burlington.
He was educated at elementary schools in New Munster and Bassett, Wis.
He was a farmer in Burlington and was a member of Holy Name Church, Wilmot.
He is survived by his wife at home; a son, Leon, of Bassett; two daughters, Dorothy Stanley Kerkman of Burlington and Betty Frawley, Whitewater; a son. Leon, of Bassett; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Ben, Burlington, and Joe, Silver Lake.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Eleanor, a sister, and two brothers.
NIENHAUS-Funeral services for the late Henry J. Nienhaus, late of Burlington, WI, who passed away September 13, will be held Tuesday, September 16, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name Church, Wilmot, WI, with the Rev Mark Lyons officiating. Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Wilmot. Friends may call Monday, Sept. 15, from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 157 S. Pine St., Burlington. Prayer vigil will be held at 8:00 p.m.
