Raymond L. Schmeidere, 67, of 300 Prigen St. died July 1 in Memorial Hospital. He was a lifetime Burlington resident.
Mr. Schneider was born here Sept. 1, 1902, the son of Harry and Clara (Jacobs) Schneider, and grew up and was educated here.
He married Rosella Sobbe in St. Mary's Catholic Church on June 21, 1934. He worked at Burlington Mills for 37 years and was a semi-retired employee in the Sentry Food produce department at the time of his death. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Holy Name Society of the church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 4, in St. Mary's Church, the Rt. Rev. Joseph Heim officiating, and burial will be in the church cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday in the McCarthy-Rueter funeral home, where friends may call from 4 p.m. Friday.
Surviving him are his wife; a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Schneider; two grandchildren; two brothers, Robert, Milwaukee, and Donald, Burlington; five sisters, Mrs. John (Elsie) Hayden, Mrs. Lloyd (Helen) Wilfert, Mrs Madeline Evans and Mrs. Donald (Ramona) Wille, all of Burlington, and Mrs. Louie (Bernice) Woyak, Elkhorn; and nieces and nephews.
